Inclement Weather and Unforeseen Business Interruptions
Policy and Procedures
My goal is to maintain all operations either in-person or virtually while still prioritizing safety and clinical integrity for both clients and myself.
In the case of inclement weather (i.e., hurricane, snowstorm, ice storm...), your appointment may need to be canceled, rescheduled, or transitioned to virtual. Travel during changing weather conditions can be challenging and everyone has different levels of skill in reference to traveling during inclement weather conditions.
If you have any question about the status of your appointment, call or text (717-804-0001) or email (bethbearly@yahoo.com). If you are not attending you appointment (in person or virtually), you MUST contact me with at least 3 hours prior to your appointment.
Additionally, Elizabeth Browning, LCSW/Bethbearly, LLC reserves the right to close the facility due to other unforeseen business interruptions.
In the event of unforeseen business interruptions and/or inclement weather, Elizabeth Browning, LCSW/Bethbearly, LLC has established the following procedures:
Simple Practice Communication:
Simple Practice will send you an update via text and/or email when your appointment has been transitioned to telehealth, canceled, or rescheduled due to unforeseen business interruptions (this includes inclement weather).
This communication will be made as promptly as possible to keep you informed.
Telehealth:
In situations where in person/office sessions are not advisable, the option to conduct your session via telehealth will be communicated to you through Simple Practice.
This ensures continuity of care without compromising safety. If your appointment cannot be held electronically or if you prefer not to have a virtual appointment, you MUST contact me at least 3 hours prior to your appointment time to to discuss this change and reschedule.
